    There are multiple ways to install BigBlueButton, but we are going to follow the simplest way, which is “Installation from the script”, I personally found this method is super easy. Let’s dive in then.

    Step 1: In this step, we will download the installer script from the BBB repository. This script contains all the steps and commands which makes the installation process super easy. Download the installer script by running the following command.

    $ curl https://ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org/bbb-install.sh -o bbb-install.sh

    The above command will download the latest version of bbb-install.sh script, -o option tells curl to save the file.

    Step 2: Now make the file executable by running the following command.

    $ chmod 755 bbb-install.sh

    Step 3: Before running the following command, change the user to root with sudo -i command

    # /home/ubuntu/bbb-install.sh -v bionic-23 -s technoraclebbb.domain -e [email protected] -w -g

    -g  specifies Greenlight installation with BigBlueButton.

    If your server has apache installed, then you will need to uninstall apache2 with all the apache modules. To uninstall apache, run the following commands.

    # sudo apt remove apache2
    # sudo apt autoremove

    The installation will take 30 min or more depending upon various factors. Once the installation is finished, browse the URL on the browser. In our case, https://technoraclebbb.domain/.
